“A national park is not a playground. it’s a sanctuary for nature and for humans who will accept nature on nature’s own terms.” MIchael Frome
I have always wanted to visit Zion National Park, I have seen photos and YouTube videos of course. HOWEVER... Nothing can prepare you for that "smack in the face" of sheer awesomeness that Zion hits you with! Even though it was a terrible day weather-wise... (It was pouring rain all day) We decided that we had come too far to reschedule this park. And I am soo glad we did. We went anyway with rain coats on and took advantage of the Park shuttle service. Which is the only way possible to see the valley anyway. And went for a hike on the "River walk" and it was so cool. Even with puddles everywhere and getting totally soaked, I am so glad we did the walk. Then today (Saturday) we drove through the tunnel and were again blown away by the beauty of Zion National Park.
We'll be back!
