Arches NP Last Day and Petroglyph's

The Arches National Park was a NO GO today as thousands of visitors crowded into the park. So we tried several times to get in and decided we'd have to see it again at a later date. We did however go for an amazing drive out Hiway 279  along the Colorado river. And it was epic indeed. We saw lot's of folks rock climbing and best of all we got to see the ancient petroglyph's (Drawings done by ancient peoples in the area). AMAZING!

Rock climbers were all over the area today.

The rock walls are really sheer along this road, going almost perfectly straight up in many areas

All in all it was a really fun and educational morning drive along the 279 near Moab.
The weather today was again a perfect high of around 60 degrees. For more info on the potash road petroglyphs:  https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/dinosaur-diamond-moabs-potash-road-180460408/
